Salvation, a work of God

One of the themes of this book is that the Holy Spirit has an essential role in a person coming to Christ for salvation. Jesus talked to Nicodemus about being born of the Spirit. One of the blessings of salvation is it not only includes the forgiveness of sin and the gift of eternal life, but it also is a personal, intimate love relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. As the Apostle Peter wrote, Jesus becomes precious to our hearts and we love Him because He first loved us.
